Finding an old school desk to use as the counter top finish for the proposed reception desk. Linking to the original concept where an old object is given a new purpose.

After dismantling the desk, the pieces are glued together to form a 2100x650mm size counter top.

The bottom of the desk is used as a detailed feature connected to the top of the desk. The curvilinear shapes in the design links to the detailed gable of the entrance facade which is repeated throughout the overall design proposal.
